Concepts for TV Promos

#1

The setting is in a pharmacy.  There is a long line of people waiting for what seems to be their prescription in a pharmacy.  A conversation starts with one person commenting to another how long the lines are and another person comments back that they just need to get their one prescription for a certain ailment. Viewer is led to believe the customers want to quickly pick up prescription medicine from a pharmacy, but when the customer gets to the front of the line, he describes his ailment/health concern, and instead of a random pharmacy worker, it’s Dr. Oz with an answer.  Promo ends with the tagline and show logo. “The Dr. Oz Show.  Weeknights at 4”

#2

Prescription bottle logo animation.  Bottle with label is seen, (like billboard concept from print idea below).  Bottle shakes, cap is unscrewed, pills spill out onto a surface.  One of the pills gets focused on.  On the pill

-is engraved the show logo, Dr. Oz’s picture, and Weekdays at 4pm.

-or Dr. Oz giving a health tip

-or one of his health tips written in graphics.

Wizard of Oz spoof.  Mother and her three sons.  Each son has an ailment; one has an ailment of the head/brain/mind like a headache.  One has an ailment of the heart/chest, like maybe asthma, the other has an ailment of the body/muscles/physical, or scared of something physical like a sport.  Mother: “We’re off to see the doctor, the wonderful doctor named Oz”.  They go for a visit to Dr. Oz.  Dr. Oz gives them the answers to their ailments.

C’Oz and Effect (Cause and Effect) Series of promos. – A person is doing something (the cause/C’Oz).  Dr. Oz comes onscreen to explain what happens if this person continues to do this (the effect).  The cause/C’Oz could be good or bad things, like C’Oz: smoking/Effect: aging.  Or C’Oz: healthy food/Effect: strong heart, shown with graphics.

#5

“Dr. Oz says P’Oz (Pause)” Series of promos. –  A person is about to do something bad, like eating certain kinds of bad foods.  Dr. Oz comes on screen and says, “PAUSE! (or P’Oz!).  Then he says something like, “Instead of these foods, eat these foods…”  Another possible situation is someone feeling chest discomfort.  They complain about symptoms.  Dr. Oz comes on screen and says, “PAUSE! (or P’Oz!).  Then he says something like, “Symptoms such as these are not something that should be ignored.  Some people can experience a mild heart attack and not even know it,” (he has a health tip explaining this).
