My absolute favorite, long form creative writing is the type of writing I’ve been doing the longest.
You know what’s more fun than writing stuff? Writing ABOUT stuff.
I may not be a superhero, but Lois Lane ain’t got nothin’ on me.
Ah, TV. This is my specialty, my hometown. Writing copy for TV Promos is, how do I put it? My jam.
Copy can’t always be the star. Sometimes taking a supporting role to an image makes it unstoppable.
I have this suspicion that anyone working in film wanted to because of a well-written Trailer they once saw.

Ingram Micro Cloud is the world’s largest cloud platform provider–and for them, I developed rich stories and campaigns that connect with people and drive them to click that CTA button. I wrote to make complex technologies seem simple with concise and impactful messaging that stays on brand. COPYWRITER
At CU Direct, a leading credit union service organization, I served as a full-time copywriter developing innovative and effective B2B marketing copy and content for a wide range of products including a loan origination system, a marketing automation platform, an auto financing network, and an online vehicle shopping website. I worked to develop brand-aligned messaging across entire marketing campaigns, sales collateral, emails, web, social media, event signage, and print ads.
At American Advisors Group, the leading reverse mortgage company in the nation, I served as the Digital Content Writer. I wrote all articles featured on the company’s News & Updates Blog section, as well as their digital newsletter and emails. I optimized them for search engines (SEO), weaving in targeted keywords seamlessly. I created complete advertising copy for all digital, such as landing pages, banner ads, email blasts, and text ads.
Fremont College, an innovator in professional education, brought me on board as an independent contractor in the summer of 2017. I also wrote a “Professor Profile” and a “Student Spotlight”, two web/print projects featuring a star student and a popular professor. I also named a new social campaign called “My Fremont Inspiration” featuring images of students sharing the inspirations behind their degree pursuit at Fremont College.
In 2017, the premier lead-gen digital marketing and media agency YPM tasked me to write a white paper for an insulation client. I researched everything I could about insulation and the client, then delivered an in-depth 9-page white paper titled “Home Insulation 101”. It covered every topic from insulation benefits to insulation types, to questions to ask when choosing your insulation contractor. In 2017, the premier lead-gen digital marketing and media agency YPM tasked me to write a white paper for an insulation client. With Sabal, an international diversified financial services firm specializing in real estate, banking, and lending, I created copy and content for a PowerPoint presentation focusing on the company’s Correspondent Lender Program. This piece would be sent as a B2B marketing email targeting Sabal’s bank partners.
5.11 Tactical is a company that creates durable apparel for law enforcement and first responders, as well as outdoor and fitness gear for consumers. I began working with them in 2017, creating copy for products such as hiking backpacks, tactical boots, and entire collections for men, women, and tactical professionals that would appear in the print catalog, sales sheets, and consumer website.
At Rich Uncles, a real-estate crowdfunding company that makes investing easy for everyone, I created copy & content for the company website, email campaigns, banner ads, landing pages, radio spots, press releases, sales fliers, and short/long-form articles that focused on the company’s commercial real estate investing online platform.
At eSalon, an innovative beauty company that delivers made-to-order, customized, salon-grade home hair color to clients, I crafted hair color articles, company website copy, “Meet Your Colorist” stories, and creative salon customer testimonials.
At the end of 2016, I gained experience in the retail industry catering to babies, children, moms, and families when I came on board the Living Textiles team. For this company that designs adorable linens and home accessories, I wrote an array of copy & content:

Fox Head Inc., an innovative leader in the motor-sport industry, produces consumer gear and apparel that are also used by the world’s best racers and riders. In November of 2015, I was tasked to write product descriptions for two of their quality products. In addition to being an innovator of the industry’s best quality racing gear, the company supports troops away from home, sponsoring riders who perform for American soldiers overseas. I was also tasked with telling that story for their online news blog.
At the end of 2013, I acquired experience writing for the Fashion Industry with none other than the popular online retailer Hautelook, a Nordstrom Company. For them, I wrote a diverse array of copy including:

Drive down Hollywood Blvd and you’ll see the 12-story building bearing the name Trailer Park, one of the most successful entertainment marketing agencies in the industry. In 2008, I served as an in-house copywriter for all departments, and the Head Copywriter for the Television department. I wrote numerous Television Promos, Theatrical Trailers, Theatrical Teasers, Taglines, and Campaign Launches. I worked under tight deadlines, I multi-tasked, wrote and managed multiple projects with solid attention to detail. I worked closely with talented film and TV editors, other copywriters, producers, and any other colleagues from the theatrical and television departments.
In the beginning of 2009, I began to work with another entertainment advertising agency called Crew Creative, where I wrote television promo copy for the original series of The Land of the Lost. I also wrote episodic copy, campaign launch copy, and taglines for Grey’s Anatomy. Finally, I wrote taglines and promo concepts for print for The Dr. Oz Show.
Starting in the Spring of 2007, I began work with one of the top film advertising agencies in Hollywood, The Cimarron Group. I began by writing television promo scripts for the DVD releases of some old favorites: Dynasty, Beverly Hills 90120, Melrose Place, and Charmed.
My freelance writing relationship continued through 2010 and culminated in various projects including television promo copy and taglines for BBC America’s Robin Hood, as well as the Fall season of So You Think You Can Dance. I also conceptualized branding and wrote tagline and ID copy for the BBC America network.
VegeUSA creates vegetarian dishes so flavorful, it wasn’t difficult at all to describe its deliciousness! For this company, I created romantic copy and product descriptions for packaging, website content, fliers, brochures, and posters. I also created a print newsletter for the company’s retail market, filling it with relevant and interesting articles and advertisements. For research, I sampled the dishes I would write about and, I must say, it was the tastiest research I’ve ever conducted!
In June 2010, I wrote an article for Eastgate Publishing to publish in the August 2010 issue of Philippine Airline’s in-flight Magazine, Mabuhay. I researched and used past experience to write a travel article titled “The Top 10 Reasons to Visit LA’s Top 10 Theme Parks”.
In the spring of 2013, I got the chance to work with one of the most wide-covering newspaper groups in the Inland Empire. City News Group publishes relevant local news for, not just one, but six areas: Colton, Grand Terrace, Loma Linda, Moreno Valley, Redlands, and San Bernardino. For them, I covered multiple events around those areas, conducting interviews, researching, and writing newspaper articles on the stories that were then published in their weekly newspaper.
At the end of 2009, I did a few Pro-Bono projects for the Pasadena Humane Society, in part to help out with a cause that has a special place in my heart: animal welfare. I voluntarily created and produced copy for print ads to promote pet adoption through brochures, fliers, and posters. In addition, I conceptualized an entire dog mock-event and wrote a corresponding mock-grant proposal.
For Craig Murray Productions (which was the sibling company to another top entertainment advertising agency, mOcean) I operated voice-over booths and recorded the voices of movie voice-over artists to be used in commercial trailers. I operated the machine room and patched edit bays with appropriate decks to copy completed trailers to DVcam tapes. I logged and captured (digitized) trailers and promos into Final Cut Pro & compressed it to be able to send to major clients by email. I also physically travelled to deliver trailer tapes to studio clients like Disney and Warner Brothers. Amongst all this, I continued writing copy, practicing with spots the company was already working on, such as Disney’s Bolt and Bandslam.
I attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film, with a Creative Writing Minor.
